Terms & Conditions for Website Template Purchases
General template policy:
When you purchase a website template from Anna Fleishman Design LLC you will be sent a contributor invitation to a new Squarespace website. Your template will not be installed on an existing website. Once you accept the invitation I will delete myself as a contributor to your site within 3 business days, or if you would like to do that sooner, you are welcome to do so.
You can expect to receive the invitation to your new site within 48 hours of when I receive your payment. However delays may occur due to weekends or holidays. If you have not received your template after 48 hours please check your spam folder. If your invitation is not in your spam folder, please contact me at design@annafleishman.com so I can resolve the issue.
Once you receive the invitation to your new site, you will have a six month free trial period to work on and customize your site before it will need to be upgraded to a paid Squarespace account. If you have not upgraded to a paid account once the six months is up, your site will expire and may be marked for deletion by Squarespace. If you need more time to work on your site before upgrading, you may contact Squarespace to ask for an extension to your trial. I am unable to extend your free trial.
I will only send your template to you once. If you make mistakes on your site that you are unable to fix, if you wait too long to accept your invitation and your six month free trial expires, or if you delete your site for any reason, you will need to purchase the template again in order for me to prepare and send it to you again.
Once you accept the invitation to your new site I no longer own it and it is now your responsibility to add content, make changes, and fix mistakes. If you make any mistakes or are unhappy with your site after you have added your own content it is your responsibility to fix your site or to hire me or another Squarespace designer to fix it for you.
When you purchase your template, you will also receive step by step instructions and video tutorials that will walk you through building your site. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions and read all of the material provided to you. I will not be held responsible for any errors to your site that may arise if you neglect to follow the provided instructions.
Support
Templates sold in the Anna Fleishman Design LLC template shop are built on the Squarespace platform but are otherwise not affiliated with Squarespace Inc.
During your six month trial period with Squarespace I am available to help with any template-specific issue you may have with the install or build of your site. I will not necessarily be available to help with general Squarespace issues, custom coding, or problems that may arise from custom code you have installed. I will happily help with small issues free of charge, but reserve the right to bill for larger support issues. I reserve the right to decide what is a “small issue” or a “large issue”.
While I will do my best to respond to support requests within three business days, I cannot guarantee that I will always be available within that time frame. As I am just one person, if a support request comes during a time I am away or otherwise unavailable you may need to wait longer than three business days for a reply. I will do my best to provide an away message that will indicate my return date so you know when to expect to hear from me.
Refunds:
Due to the digital nature of website templates, I cannot offer refunds or exchanges for any reason. Please make sure you review the template descriptions and demo sites and ask me all your questions before you make your purchase. If you have questions about a template or are unsure if buying a template is a good fit for you, please feel free to contact me at design@annafleishman.com to set up a consultation call.
Licensing and copyright
I own the copyright for the photos, designs, and text in the templates from the Anna Fleishman Design LLC template shop. When you buy a template, you will not have the rights to use any of the placeholder photos and text so you must replace it with your own.
Each time you purchase a website template from the Anna Fleishman Design LLC template shop you may use it to build one website. If you would like to build multiple sites using the same template, you must buy the template again.
When you purchase a template it is for your use only. You may not sell or share the template or the designs, photos, or text within it.
While you should copyright the photos and content of your site, you may not claim the template design as your own. You are encouraged to keep the “Template by Anna Fleishman Design LLC” in the footer of your site.
All of the text and photos within your template are for demo purposes only and must be replaced before you launch your site. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have rights to all the photos and text you use on your site and I will not be held accountable for any copyright infringement issues that may arise from misuse of images or text.
If you are a designer or other professional who is using a template for client sites, you must purchase a template for each client; you may not duplicate or copy the template for multiple clients. You may contact me at design@annafleishman.com to discuss bulk pricing.
If you are a designer or other professional who is using a template for client sites you may not claim the design as your own or showcase it in your portfolio or on your own site without giving credit to Anna Fleishman Design LLC and linking directly to my website or template shop.
I reserve the right to showcase your completed website on my sales page or for other promotional or demonstration purposes. This could include a direct link to your site and/or screenshots of it.
Other things
As with any technology, Squarespace makes changes and updates to their platform periodically. While I am not responsible for helping you navigate these changes, you are free to contact me and I will help you as my time allows. I reserve the right to bill for any of this support time.
Your template is built on Squarespace version 7.1. If Squarespace builds a newer version and updates are no longer made to version 7.1 it is your responsibility to upgrade your site or to purchase a new, updated template when they become available.
You are responsible for the cost of your Squarespace subscription, your domain name, and any other costs associated with your site such as your email marketing service or scheduling service. Please read the template description thoroughly before purchasing and review the Squarespace pricing page.
